 'FEED THE CITY'

GOING GREEN –
Katie Power and her school friends are getting ready for the Feed the City during the Cork St. Patricks Festival, when vegetarian curry will be served free of charge to 5,000 people on Grand Parade in Cork to highlight food waste and sustainability in Ireland. Over 1 tonne of vegetables will be collected to make the tasty curry in mega-pots, which will be served from 1pm on Saturday, 15 March. With circus entertainment, and talks on growing your own vegetables, turning waste into compost, cookery demonstrations and a food trail and exhibition, there's more than a free lunch on offer for St. Patricks weekend in Cork.
