Members of CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory’s Coder Dojo group who are travelling to San Francisco on the Inaugural Aer Lingus Dublin­ San Francisco flight on 2nd April. Earlier this year Edwin Lee, Mayor of San Francisco invited the 5 Coder Dojo students from Cork to come to San Francisco to share their skills with their transatlantic peers and encourage Coder Dojo classes in San Francisco. The five pupils were guests of the Lord Mayor at City Hall on Friday morning.

As part of their trip they aim to collect data/operate the Project Tara telescope (located in California), while onboard the trans-atlantic flight, to collect images of Mars or Saturn.
