Munster Rugby players James Downey, Ivan Dineen, John Ryan and Anthony Coole, Head of Physiotherapy at Munster Rugby, with Hilary Sullivan and Joanne McCarthy, of ARC Cancer Support House at the launch.
Launch of the CIT Charity Vintage and Classic Car Run- This run will take place on the 14th and 15th of June (after exams and before the results). The route has been shortened considerably, driving the ring of Beara on the Saturday, overnight in Kenmare and driving the ring of Kerry on the Sunday, as this is a most scenic drive. It is hoped to raise funds through sponsorship from staff and students within the college and also friends outside the college, as well as possibly having a fund raiser for this very worthy cause. There will be no expenses for this event as all costs incurred will be covered by the people involved in the event. All funds collected will be presented to Cork ARC Cancer Support House. (ARC stands for Aftercare, Research Counselling) “Cork ARC Cancer Support House is a voluntary organization established to provide a holistic centre in which people with cancer and their families can find emotional support and practical help. Our aim is to provide therapies that complement the medical model, so as to make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer.” More information on this charity can be obtained at http://www.corkcancersupport.ie/
