Finbarr (Notte), (paints as Fin DAC) who is originally from Togher is almost complete painting a mural on the exterior wall of the Kino building on Washington Street. Finbarr works under the name Fin DAC, and has been a full time artist for the past two years. In that time he has developed a unique style, and been commissioned by The London Olympics and the 02 in London among others. Fin works from a stencil basis, and predominantly works outdoors. He particularly enjoys bringing beauty to neglected buildings or areas. (links to examples available with pic desk) Music and asian ladies feature prominently In Fin DAC's work, and the Kino piece will be no exception. The piece he has designed pays homage to The Frank and Walters, and - in order to honour the Kino's history - includes a nod to the film Moby Dick, which was shot here in Cork. The piece will be officially unveiled on Fri 16th May at 5pm.
