 11-9-2014: All the Days of the Kerry dancers…Kerry minor footballer Tomas O'se along with Aoife Granville, fiddle and Aisling Barrett, Harp, swapped his football boots for his dancing shoes on Coomeenole Beach on Thursday to kick start the annual Dingle Tradfest, Ireland's newest innovative Trad-Fusion Music Festival. The All-Ireland dancing champion will line out with Kerry in the All-Irelandn football final the following Sunday before taking up a position with Riverdance for the next year. The festival provides a platform for both National and Internationally acclaimed performing artists to showcase modern and original talents within the usually more traditional environment that is the Dingle Peninsula. The festival kicked off on Thgursday and runs until September 14th Included in the programme is a series of night-time and lunchtime concerts as well as a session trail and some outdoor events including a session on one of the local mountain ranges. The goal of the festival is to promote Irish music in a new and unique way and one of the highlights of this be the continued tradition of the Saturday night Trad-Disco.
