On the occasion of the fitting of the 300th. carbon monoxide alarm in the Blarney Street area of Cork were Kathleen Lynch, T.D., Minister for Social Care, Primary Care and Mental Health, who handed over an alarm to Mrs. Jennie Dineen in the Dineen home, in the presence of Tom Coleman, chairman, Blarney St. & Surrounding Areas Community Association, and Supt. Con Cadogan, Gurranabraher.
