Honey the Bumblebee
Honey the Bumblebee, by Abbey Pyne aged 9 from Glanmire.... Here is the bee I found. I named him Honey. Daisy my dog was attacking him, Dad steered her away with the brush. He managed to scramble his way up the fence before Daisy could eat him. He rewarded himself with a good rest. After about ten minutes of resting he tried to fly away, he couldn?t he didn?t seem to find the energy. I didn?t understand, he had a good rest, what else did he need? Dad went inside, I guessed he needed to go to the bathroom. But about two minutes later he came out with a spoonful of honey. Of course, he was hungry. Dad held the spoon out carefully, Honey stuck out his tongue and began to drink it. It was a rare sight. Afterwards we had to leave. I really hope he?s OK.
