Lord Mayor Cllr Chris O'Leary showing the mayoral chain to Tadhg and Paudie Murphy, (sons of Sean Murphy), at the unvailing the new Monument remembering members of the Cork City Battalion Irish Volunteers on active service under arms to achieve the freedom of Ireland, in Easter 1916. The Monument in South Mall, Cork City, was commissioned and donated by the family of Sean Murphy, Vice Batt O/C and Brigade Q/M.
