The Central Statistics Office, Skehard Road, Cork celebrated the achievements of staff member Olive Loughnane at a ceremony at the offices on Wednesday 27th July 2016.
Olive was recently awarded the 20km race walk gold medal from the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, after the retroactive banning of the Russian athlete Olga Kaniskina.
World Champion Olive Loughnane is presented with gifts and flowers from the CSO to mark the occasion by (left) John Treacy, CEO, Irish Sports Council and (right) Padraig Dalton, Director General CSO. She now has both the Gold and Silver Medals from the 2009 race.
