 EE news 20/05/2017. Rankin dinghy group revival.
Members of the Rankin dinghy group with Tim and Ida Hadley who were visiting from the UK and came to see the boats on the water. Ida Hadley is the sister of the Rankin brothers, David and Eric, who designed and built the boats with Eddie Twomey.

Twelve boats from the Rankin Dinghy Group set off for Crosshaven from Whitepoint, Cobh, Co Cork. Approx. 80 Rankin dinghies were built from the late 1950's to the 1980's and the Rankin Dinghy group was set up to revive the class and restore boats to their past glory.
Anybody with information on the location of Rankin boats in any condition are asked to contact Maurice Kidney, tel 086 3225424 or Conor English, tel 086 3531122.
