Once upon a time and still is.
I am Jim Foran the Amateur photographer who took this photo at Carragh Lake in Co Kerry during the summer. I am sure it looked almost the same 100 yrs ago. The donkey in the photo strolled on up to me and allowed me to rub his forehead before he returned to his peaceful grazing once more. The photo has a tranquil feeling about it as does the place.
