Kathleen Chada holds an angel with the names of her two sons Eoghan and Ruairi before leading a symbolic walk with friends and family members of murder victims in the Phoenix Park at the weekend. In July 2013, Kathleen's sons were murdered by their father. Kathleen is speaking at the Safe Ireland Safe World Summit, which gets underway today in the Mansion House Dublin where she will talk about how life as she knew it changed forever from that day, her journey through grief, and the healing power of community. She is a founding member of SAVE (Sentencing and Victim Equality), which is campaigning for sentencing reform in Ireland, for the inclusion of the families of murder victims in the Parole Process and for strengthened advocacy and support for survivors.
