 Stepping Up to the Challenge.......Members of Cork City Civil Defence wearing swift water rescue gear while taking part in the Jerusalema Challenge at Port of Cork, Kennedy Quay, Cork City on Saturday. Seven members Cork City branch of the voluntary organisation recorded their dance moves at various locations in Cork on Saturday. Locations included Bell's Field, Blackrock Castle, Cork County Hall, Fitzgerald's Park and Port of Cork, Kennedy Quay. The city based group has 79 volunteer members with training in various disciplines including swift water rescue, first aid, auxilary fire service, and Search & Rescue. The choreographer was Andrew McCarthy (at left), a 2020 graduate of BFA Musical Theatre. Spreading a message of hope and joy during Level 5 lockdown during the covid-19 coronavirus global pandemic February 13th 2021. The National Civil Defence organisation will release its' video compilation from groups across the country on Monday.
