The Irish flag/tricolor was raised at the gates of Spike Island to mark the 85th anniversary of the handing over of Spike Island and the Treaty forts from British to Irish control. Included were County Mayor, Frank O'Flynn, Alan O'Callaghan, Spike Island Operations Manager, Michelle Russell, Marketing Manager and Dorota Gubbins, Curator of the 1938 exhibition.
