Wreaths alaid at the memorial. The people of Cobh commemorated the 112th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic on Sunday 14th April 2024. Cobh held a public ceremony of remembrance for all who lost their lives in the Titanic disaster in 1912.. The East Cork town, famously known as the final port of call for the ill-fated ship, honoured the memory of those who lost their lives when the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage to New York in 1912. Organised by Cobh Tourism, the annual commemorative event took place at the Titanic Memorial in Pearse Square, featuring solemn tributes including music, prayers, and the laying of wreaths.
