Roar of the red stag : As I roamed the uplands of Killarney national park last friday (11th Oct) this "imperial" stage (14 antler points) suddenly popped his head over the brow of the hill roaring at other stags in the far distance. Its rutting season and stags are to be heard throughout the national park these days.
