On a recent work experience in South Africa, we had a call about a lioness from the Born free foundation who was suffering from dehydration. On arrival we had to carry her the the medical centre and provider her wit seven litres of fluids.
The most interesting thing was being able to be so close to a top predator. She was so peaceful and still.

for the last few months ive been photographing two swans from the mating to the 4 eggs hatching on thursday all four cygnets left the nest ...this morning i discovered that there is only one remaining cygnet what happened the rest i dont know maybe a fox got them because all were healthy on thusday captured this is the last surviving cygnet and by the looks of it she aint leaving her go

Pictured here is myself and my eldest son Oisín. I wanted to give him the opportunity to see the Aurora and Milky way under a dark sky. Unfortunately nowadays many children don't know what the Milky Way is as they have not seen it due to Light pollution in towns and cities.

while cycling around Galway City with my thrusty camera looking for something that caught my eye i came upon these beautiful cygnets and there mom, just a few days old and and already making there way on the waterways that are glistening like diamonds with the sun beating down on there backs keeping them lovely and warm, so i named it simply " THE FAMILY "

This is a picture I took of my friend Danny. It was late August and we were just about to start back at school but we decided to go to the beach and use the little remaining time of summer we had left. The setting sun represents the summer coming to an end and making the most of your time while you have it. I call this picture "Carpe Diem" which is Latin for "sieze the day".
