Saturday the 15/11 I was on the way back from Powerscourt Gardens Co Wicklow, after viewing an art exhibition, I turned the bend and I saw this wonderful colourful tree scape complete with mist, had my camera with me yippee.

This photograph is of some flowers, taken before the harsh winter sweeps in a takes away their beauty. The photo was taken at the end of September, on the grounds of Tuar Ard Arts Centre, Moate, Co. Westmeath. The focal point is a Yellow Dahlia, while some White Alyssum can be seen in the background.

The reason I took this photo was for an assignment we were given at my local camera club to capture a night time shot. I took the photo in my local graveyard with my Sony NEX-3N using the 16-55 kit lens. I took the shot at F3.5 , 2sec exposure and ISO 400. I used a mini tripod low to the ground and used a flash light on the subject to get my focus. The original photo came out very dark so I used photoshop to increase contrast and sharpness. Hope you enjoy.

After a breathtaking sunset walk at the Phoenix park. Going back home in almost complete darkness with the camera inside my bag and then I hear what I thought where human steps only to kind of see the deers being interrupted by us walking, less than 100mts away they started slowly avoiding us by walking away and giving us this amazing moment. A nest of Peregrine Falcons were perched about 20m in an alcove at the side of Inniscarra Dam in 2003 . One of the chicks attempted to fly from the nest but just made it to a nearby ledge where this photo was taken . Sadly they have moved away in recent years .
