A FLOWER IN CONNEMARA A FLOWER IN CONNEMARA: I Got out of the car in beautiful Furbo Connemara on a beautiful September Day 2014 and snapped this lovely flower. The day was so Beautiful, I blurred the Background. My F stop was F10, Shutter 1 over 250 sec. ISO 400. I was parked Dangerously and Rushed the Settings, but was quite happy with the Turnout and the way it Portrayed what a beautiful Sunny day it was. Picture By: J J WALSH

School Pics and Trabolgen Oct 10-12 2014 201 "Tree of Life" Photo taken By Katie O'Keeffe of the "Tree of Life" at the recent event held on the 10th Oct for the Oncology Nurses at "The Girls Club" Cancer Support Group. This tree is drawn on one of the walls at the Girls Club which is based at 26 St Pauls Avenue in Cork City and each hand represents a person or family who has been touched in some way by Cancer. Some hands represent survivors, some represent people who have passed over and others represent volunteers and each colour represents a different type of cancer. DSC04188 'Shipwreck Cove' On recent visit to the Greek island of Zakynthos, I captured this photograph. After quiet a difficult scramble over loose rock and dense vegetation in mid 30's degree c heat, leaning precariously over a steep cliff-face, the prize that I was presented-with will always remain with me for the rest of my life. This photograph was originally captured by a photographer called Stavros Marmatakis in 1980's when he was staying in a house in the neighbourhood and expressed interest in the area and especially the Cove. He made his way to the cliff-top, where I captured my photograph and captured the scene with the wrecked ship called "Panayiotis" at the inaccessible Bay of Spirili. The only way to get onto this bay is by boat, but as he did find a way across the cliffs, so did I and the result is a shown.
