 VIDEO available....North Monastery Secondary School 6th year pupil Eric Sheehan designed the artwork 'Everything Old is New Again' during his Transition year at the school. The sculptor Sean MacCarthy created the piece commemorating the three past pupils and former Lord's Mayor Donal O'Sullivan, Terrence McSwiney and Tomas MacCurtain. The sculpure was to be officially unveiled by President Michael D. Higgins but it has been delayed due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. The finished sculpture remained under black plastic for much of the school year last year but his now been shown off in recent weeks in the entrance hallway of the northside school.
