The EMERALD SOCIETY PIPES AND DRUMS NEW YORK FIRE DEPARTMENT -FDNY held a special remembrance ceremony at the Garden of Remembrance, Ringfinnan, Kinsale Co Cork. The group attended the garden to honour the memory of the 343 Firefighters who lost their lives in 9/11. Remembering also their beloved Chaplain Mychal Judge and also Durrell “Bronco” Pearsall. The Emerald Society Pipes and Drums FDNY wish to highlight and bring attention to the Remembrance Garden, highlighting its significance & its maintenance as a “living” memorial. They are traveling with both Active and Retired FDNY firefighters & their relations, some of whom responded on that dreadful day. It will be an emotional part of their trip to Ireland.
