The works at the front of the new school have not been completed and the development currently has no car parking onsite for staff, visitors and students. Footpaths have not been upgraded and a new footpath south of the school site has not been installed. Staff parking has been facilitated in the nearby 'coursing field' accessed via a dangerous section of road with no footpaths available. The group attended the garden to honour the memory of the 343 Firefighters who lost their lives in 9/11. Remembering also their beloved Chaplain Mychal Judge and also Durrell “Bronco” Pearsall. The Emerald Society Pipes and Drums FDNY wish to highlight and bring attention to the Remembrance Garden, highlighting its significance & its maintenance as a “living” memorial. They are traveling with both Active and Retired FDNY firefighters & their relations, some of whom responded on that dreadful day. It will be an emotional part of their trip to Ireland.
