Carphone Warehouse will celebrate the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S5 by hosting celebrities, tech experts and lucky competition winners in a special ÔPower of 5Õ event in Dublin and Cork on Thursday April 10th.
It will be IrelandÕs first chance to check out the most anticipated smartphone of 2014. Both Patrick Street, Cork and CleryÕs, Dublin stores will host an exclusive Power of 5 event from 10.30pm to midnight on April 10th ahead of the official launch on April 11th.
The after-hours Power of 5 event will be the hottest ticket in town, and will allow lucky competition winners access to the Dublin and Cork stores to put the new Samsung Galaxy smartphone through its paces, aided by a string of well known facesÉ

In CleryÕs Dublin MMA & UFC Superstar Conor McGregor will put the S Health 3.0 to the test along with LovinÕ Dublins Niall Harbison, XposeÕs Glenda Gilson, NewstalkÕs tech expert Jessica Kelly and Dublin GAA star Dean Rock. They will all be on hand to discuss their favourite features of the Galaxy S5.
Meanwhile in Cork the Power of 5 panelists are comedian & tv star Hilary Rose, she will be joined by Munster outhalf Ian Keatley, tech wiz kid James Whelton from Coderjo fame, Red FMÕs Philip Bourke and Deirdre OÕShaugnessy, former editor of Cork Independent, and a regular on Corks 96FM!
Both these events aim to be informal, fun & educational through an open floor discussion between key panelists, guests and competition winners. Guests will be able to ask our group of panelists why their phone is so important to their everyday life, while linking back to the key USPÕs of the Samsung Galaxy S5.
