Dough Castle at Lahinch Golf Club The Wise Man. Dough Castle stands on the Castle Course of Lahinch Golf Club on the Wild Atlantic Way. It's not in a state of collapse because of war or invasion, but because the O'Connors, Lords of Corcomroe, built it at a strategically important location but unfortunately upon sandbanks! Duh! Still it made for an interesting shot on what has been a mostly cloud covered few weeks when I got almost no opportunities for some night shots. Photographed in the very early hours of the morning on 4th July 2016.

Equinox As a family we climbed a local hill in Leitrim on the Spring Equinox this year, 2016. We were with a group of hill walkers and got there just as the dawn broke. The hill overlooks the cottage where Sean Mac Diarmada (one of the proclamation signatories) was born in Leitrim and I thought that on the centenary year that was in it, it was important to try and mark it in a special way as a family. On the way down I managed to take this pic of my husband Jamie walking with my youngest 6 year old daughter Siun as they walked hand in hand towards the sun as it rose over Lough Mac Nean. 20160521 kerry may16 4322 I packed my gear and drove through Gap of Dunloe to Black Valey, where I parked my car and slept. It was raining whole night and next morning. When I set up my camera at the lake it stopped for about 20 minutes when I had my chance to take few shots. Black Valey, Co. Kerry

It was 2.30 in the morning and the sun was just beginning to turn the sky from midnight blue to pretty pink on the horizon.
