Orienteering for the Vision Impaired at Fota House and Arboretum, Co Cork on Saturday, Feb 24th, 2018 over a 2km course. It’s sometimes called Blind-O and is believed to be the first time such an event has been organised in Ireland. Vision-impaired participants were paired with sighted-guides and completed the course in bright, dry but cold conditions.
Visiting Spanish trainee teachers Ana Escamilla and Esther Marcos, from Madrid, temporarily experience vision-impairment, as they take part in the event.
