 PR STARTS...The Thomas Kent School of History is kicking off its 2019 Symposium weekend in Fermoy on Friday September 27th until Sunday September 29th with a line up of fantastic events. At the launch in the town council chambers in Fermoy on Sept 6th, founding member Ian Fleming MRCVS said that ‘we should have the confidence to break the mould as men such as Thomas Kent and Liam Lynch did 100 years ago’.
The launch was hosted by Councillor Frank O’Flynn, Chairperson of Fermoy Municipal District and he said that ‘Cork County Council are delighted to be involved again this year and all roads will lead to Fermoy on the 27th, 28th and 29th of September’. Full details of all speakers and events throughout the weekend can be found on The Thomas Kent School of History facebook page or email them at: thomaskenthistory@gmail.com if you would like a copy of the lineup. Tickets for the dinner are €50 (including wine) and tickets for the morning/afternoon sessions(2/3 speakers per session) are €20 including a light lunch, tea/coffee and can be purchased from Fermoy Community Youth Centre, Fermoy Books.
