rescue pat boat Pulling together to save this boat on Tragumna Beach West Cork in a storm after it came off its mooring. It was a rough storm and this was unexpected to say the least. DSC0112 This Picture was shot in Kolkata, last month. I was out shooting in the street, where I noticed this man selling toy parrots, I found it very interesting as the man was totally odd in that environment. I ducked in the road in order to take a low angle shot of the man holding those birds and luckily it was the time in the evening where all the birds(especially crows) were returning to their nests and that;s how I got the shot. Co-existence Birth and death the two most co-existing phenomenon of life they are not two different states, but they are different aspects of the same state. In this shot, I have tried to portray the co-existence of life. The shadow of the pigeon in the frame portrays the afterlife or death and the real one portrays birth. The line between the two is the bar, the barrier between life and death. This is a street photograph, captured in Kolkata. This shot was captured on a bright sunny day, a woman was feeding the pigeons, in front of a white wall, when the birds were landing their shadows were being cast in the wall that's where I took the shot. Pain In this shot I have tried to capture the pain of the child who is performing dangerous gymnastics in a road in order to earn money for her family. Child labor and exploitation are the result of many factors, including poverty, social norms condoning them, lack of decent work opportunities for adults and adolescents, migration and emergencies. These factors are not only the cause but also a consequence of social inequities reinforced by discrimination. Those children are forced by hunger to perform in the streets.

Title - The Horse And The Crow, By - Shubhodeep Roy On a cold winter morning around 6 to 7 AM, I went for a walk in the Maidan area, a vast green open field in Kolkata, India . A dense fog, common for this time of the year, was there on the green field. Thick as soup, this is where I tried to capture the interaction between a horse and a crow in a cold foggy winter morning. In that scene I felt that the Horse and the crow was having a conversation among each other, the dark and foggy ambiance was the main thing which insists me to take the shot. IMG 0648 Name: Trostan Taken in July 2020 in Carnlough, County Antrim on a camper van trip that my wife and I took with our 5 young children. It was during Covid-19 and we decided to book a camper van trip having never done so before. My wife is Spanish so we normally spend our summers there. In 2020 we got to see places in Ireland that neither of us had seen before. What an amazing country we live in. I took this with my Canon 70D. The weather was bad but just broke as we pulled into Carnlough and I took this shot with the storm clouds moving in again. We have booked another camper van this year to see the West of Ireland. Can't wait. I'll have my Canon with me again.

The larger is the former COI church of Ballynafagh built in the 1830’s and was maintained until the 20th century but then fell into disuse and was eventually de-roofed in 1985. The smaller ruins are the remains of the original medieval church which sit on a mound at the South-East corner of the larger church.

december 14th. 2016 133 (2) "Afternoon Peat" This is a photograph of The Old Barracks in Cahersiveen, Co.Kerry, that I took in the afternoon as the peat fires where lit and the smoke eased its way across the town. The Barracks was constructed between 1870 and 1875 as an RIC Barracks in order to maintain law and order in Cahersiveen and to protect the telegraphic cable link between Europe and America which had been laid in 1866. It was designed by the architect, Enoch Trevor Owen in a Shloss style of architecture which was favored by Trevor Owen. The Barracks remained an important police station up to The Irish Civil War. I was the only person on the beach at that time and I felt privileged to be allowed to experience the event. I decided it was too good an opportunity to miss. On arrival at 12 pm in the night , there was already a couple of adventurers on board the ship with head torches . luckily for me this lit up the ship beautifully and added greatly to the image

The Migrant Worker Indian migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic have faced multiple hardships. With factories and workplaces shut down due to the lock down imposed in the country, millions of migrant workers had to deal with the loss of income, food shortages and uncertainty about their future. Following this, many of them and their families went hungry. Thousands of them then began walking back home, with no means of transport due to the lock down, In response, the Central and State Governments took various measures to help them, and later arranged transport for them. According to me, heroism does not always mean an act of bravery. Heroism is also staying strong during the harsh strong times and taking care of all his responsibilities. In my eyes he is a Hero, who fought the hunger, poverty along with the virus., I had a little chat with him were he told me his name, what he does and how he is surviving the lock down with his wife and children and for how many days he is trying to return to his hometown. That's all I know, in life we get in touch with so many people, people divided in their different worlds and only their stories stays in our heart. Picture Credit - Shubhodeep Roy

The church is Sts Peter and Paul's Church in Kilmallock and I just couldnt resist the photo opportunity. I'm from Kilmallock originally. It was taken with a regular android phone.
