 Three teachers Ruth Harrington, Vice Principal, Cathal Daly, history teacher and David Burns, accounting teacher were selected by a school vote to undertake the challenge. On Friday 17th December 2021 three teachers Ruth Harrington, Vice Principal, Cathal Daly, history teacher and David Burns, accounting teacher undertook the ice bucket challenge with a slight twist as only two teachers would be drenched with icy cold water. The event was organised by the 5th year student council with help from the transition year students and raised EURO 1,100 for the SAFARI Unit at Mercy University Hospital, Cork.
