The Dark Hedges in Northern Ireland shows a row of twisted beech trees lining a narrow road, their branches reaching across to form a natural arch. In autumn, the trees are covered in shades of orange and brown, with fallen leaves scattered along the quiet path.

Loopy
Photo taken on 18 September near the Blasket Islands. The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group report that this is the 1st inter-annual re-sighting of #HBIRL006 also known as "Loopy" since Oct 2021. This latest record brings to 27 the no. of sightings of this humpback whale over 9 yrs since 2004, when he was first photographed by the Irish Naval Service in Oct. 2004 off Loop Head, Co. Clare. Of interest is that this is one of just 3 humpbacks that they have matched to the Caribbean breeding area of the Silver Bank off the Dominican Republic in Feb. 2004.
